Privacy policy for the ISMyAudit app

This policy explains how the ISMyAudit app for iPhone and iPad handles data. Last updated: 1 November 2026.

2. Your audit data stays on your device

All content you create in the app – projects, customers, yachts, checklists, notes, findings, photos, company profile and reports – is stored locally in the app's storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us or to third parties. We have no access to it.

If you back up your device to iCloud or a computer, the app's data is included in that backup under the terms of your backup provider.

3. No account, no tracking

The app does not require an account. It contains no analytics, advertising, crash reporting or tracking services and does not collect usage data.

4. Permissions

  • Photos: only the images you select (for example a yacht's cover photo) are copied into the app.
  • Files: only the checklist files you select are imported.

5. Sharing reports

When you export a report, the PDF is created on your device. You decide whether and with whom to share it via the iOS share sheet. The privacy policy of the app or service you share it with applies to the transfer.

6. Premium activation and requests

To activate Premium you enter your business email and an unlock code. Both are checked and stored on your device only.

If you request Premium from within the app, your mail app opens with a prepared email to premium@ismyaudit.app. We process the content of your email to answer your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).

7. App Store

The app is distributed via Apple's App Store. Apple processes data in connection with the download under its own privacy policy; we have no influence on this.

8. Your rights

As we do not receive data from the app, requests usually concern emails you have sent us. You have the rights under Art. 15–21 GDPR and may lodge a complaint with the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany. Contact: imprint@forinspectors.com.
